The trip is limited to 20 people. Although there may be a strong group feeling during the trip, it is certainly possible to walk at your own pace. You don't have to stay with the group all day. Thanks to the daily briefing and information in the app, you should be able to complete the route independently.

You will be given a Raft Inflation Bag during the adventure, which you inflate like a lazybag. Scoop some air and squeeze it into your raft, and your raft is inflated! With the right technique, this only takes a few minutes.

Packrafting is a relatively new sport that came over from Alaska. Here they came up with a solution for hikes in natural areas with a lot of water: a super-light raft that fits easily in your backpack, a so-called packraft. It allows you to alternate hiking trails with rivers and cover longer distances. It is an active form of slow travel.

Most of our travellers are between 16 and 60 years old. Whether you want to go on an adventure with your partner, a group of friends, or as a solo traveller, this trip is perfect for you.

During the Packraft Trip, you will pass a few restaurants and supermarkets, but not everywhere either. So bring enough food for the whole trip. For a certain amount, you can buy an Adventure Foodpack from us.

To make your hike as enjoyable as possible, carry only a 70-litre trekking rucksack. In it are your packraft equipment this weighs about 3 kilos, possibly a thermos and Adventure Food (or your own cooking equipment and food), and clothes for during your hike.

You will find the full packing list in the pre-departure information email. Here are a few essentials that are mentioned:

  • Hiking and outdoor clothing
  • Hiking boots
  • Rain jacket and rain trousers
  • Water bottle
  • Torch
  • Lighter / matches
  • Meals (also available from us)
  • Camping equipment: tent, mat, lamp and sleeping bag, table and chair (also available for rent from us)

Make sure you have these items ready before departure to be well prepared for your packrafting adventure!

Unfortunately, public transport to the site is very limited. We therefore recommend you come with your own car to enjoy the adventure!

It is a packraft initiative, we are therefore aiming at a wide audience: anyone with a healthy basic fitness level can handle the sporting level. There is also plenty of time to rest and enjoy the views during the trail.

Our packrafts are designed for one person.

Yes, dogs are welcome! We even have a few larger packrafts that can accommodate a dog at the front. You can request this via e- mail.

Please note: Dogs are required to wear dog shoes in the packraft. Take this with you if you come with your dog.

You can park your car at the campsite, the parking costs vary (free up to 2.50 euros per day) per campsite.

The start and end point is at our base camp. If you decide to stay an extra night, you will stay at the same place.

This trip is considered an independent adventure where experienced guides are on site daily. The experienced guides are well trained and experienced in different natural areas and climates and will be on standby during trip.

Arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 at basecamp. At 9:00, the briefing of your Packraft Trip will start. Did you book an extra night before your trip? The day before your trip you are welcome between 16.00 and 18.00 at basecamp. Are you staying an extra night. Then you are asked to leave base-camp between 08.00 and 10.00.

Packrafts originated in Alaska, where packrafts are mainly used to cross large bodies of water in the wilderness while hiking.

We have carefully chosen safe routes and provide you with safety instructions and good quality packrafting equipment. Should you have any questions during the Packraft Trip, our guide will always be available for you by phone!

Anyone can packraft! You get clear instructions about the route and your equipment from one of our guides and you decide how many breaks you take along the way.

On the first day of your trip, the briefing starts at 09:00 with an explanation of the route and your equipment. From 09.30, you will leave independently with the route on your phone. On days 2 and 3 of your route, you can decide on your own departure time.

Start the day with a fresh breakfast which will be available daily between 08:00 - 09:00, and then start your trip. Keep in mind that a trip including breaks takes 6-8 hours on average. On the last day of your hike, we expect you at the base-camp between 15:00 and 18:00 at the latest. Take your time, enjoy the adventure. You set your own pace.

The basecamp is located in the middle of nature. The Basecamp is the starting and finishing point of all routes. Here you will find everything you need for a wonderful overnight stay after an adventurous day. A place to have breakfast together in the morning, a hot shower after your trip, a campfire to talk about your day together or retreat to your tent where you can relax and look at the stars.
